We love what we do, and on March 20 this year, our efforts got a big round of applause. At the 2025 PenSPRA Symposium in State College, our team at the Donovan Group was honored with ten awards in the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association’s Excellence in Communications Contest.

This recognition means the world to us—not just because of the fancy certificates (although they are pretty great), but because they represent something much bigger: the trust that school leaders across Pennsylvania place in us every single day.

We were thrilled to receive six Awards of Excellence, three Awards of Merit and one Honorable Mention for work we created alongside five incredible districts: Brentwood Borough, Reading, Rose Tree Media, Saucon Valley and Southeast Delco. From strategic messaging and video storytelling to clear, timely communications, each project reflects a shared commitment to strong school-community relationships.

Being recognized by PenSPRA is an incredible honor. This organization champions communication in public education, which is at the very heart of our mission. To be celebrated among peers who value the same work we do is both humbling and energizing.

We believe our Philadelphia-based partner, Liam Goldrick, summed it up best: “Our firm is solely dedicated to public education and has been proud to have supported the communications and public relations needs of dozens of Pennsylvania school districts since 2019.”

This recognition is a testament to the power of partnership between our team and the school leaders we serve.

At the end of the day, these awards celebrate our clients just as much as our team. They remind us that great school communication happens when we listen deeply, collaborate fully and keep people at the center of everything we do.
