Donovan Group Welcomes Tracy Jentz as Director of Survey Research
Jentz will help public schools gain valuable data, feedback from their communities.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Tracy Jentz, an experienced school communication professional who has been nationally recognized for her work, has joined the Donovan Group as the firm’s director of survey research.
In this role, Jentz will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s survey, focus group, polling, and data analysis services. This includes conducting online surveys for public schools, school districts, and educational organizations, using sound research methodologies that emphasize engaging entire communities, and disaggregating data in a way that separates the signal from the noise.
“I am excited to join the team at the Donovan Group and lead the firm’s growing survey and research services for public schools nationwide,” said Jentz. “Research is my passion, and I love analyzing data and ensuring schools and school districts have the insights and information they need to inform their decisions. I look forward to learning from and working with Perry Hibner and leveraging my experience to benefit the firm and the hundreds of school districts it serves each year.”
Hibner, an experienced school communications professional and former journalist, has been the lead survey strategist at the Donovan Group since July 2021. Hibner’s work on surveys, polling, focus groups, and data analysis services has positively impacted school systems throughout the upper Midwest. He plans to retire at the end of June 2024.
Before joining the Donovan Group, Jentz was the communications and community engagement coordinator for Grand Forks (N.D.) Public Schools. As a cabinet-level administrator, she created a strategic communications program focused on building a mutually beneficial relationship between the community and the school system, which included more than 7,400 students and 1,600 full- and part-time staff.
Jentz also served as North Central Region vice president of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) from 2020 to 2023. She is a current board member for Spectra Health in Grand Forks.
Jentz holds a master’s degree in sociology and a bachelor’s degree in communication, both from the University of North Dakota.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Tracy Jentz to our team as we continue to expand our survey and research services to schools and school districts nationwide,” said Joe Donovan, president of the Donovan Group. “Over the course of her career, Tracy has proven herself to be an exceptional communicator and researcher, earning a national reputation as one of the top school communication professionals in the United States. We cannot wait to see the impact she will have on public school districts and, ultimately, the students and families they serve.”
