Communications Compass Webinar Is Charting a Course for School Communicators
Donovan Group's webinar series, Communications Compass: Guiding School Leaders Through Topical Issues, is gaining momentum—and creating meaningful opportunities for school communicators to learn from one another.
Since launching in December, the team has hosted four sessions with more than 400 registrants and 13 panelists, including nine in-district communicators who have shared their experiences, strategies, and ideas with colleagues across the country.
Each 45-minute session is designed to provide bite-sized professional learning and collaboration, with time for audience Q&A and conversation. Topics have ranged from the responsible use of artificial intelligence in schools to storytelling strategies and communications planning.
The most recent session, “Maximize the First Week of School,” offered ready-to-use ideas, planning tools, and storytelling techniques to help districts showcase their culture, celebrate students and staff, and keep families informed throughout the opening days of school.

Every session is recorded and available on the website, giving school leaders and communicators the opportunity to access insights, revisit key ideas, and share resources with their teams.
The Donovan Group team is grateful to everyone who has participated, shared their expertise, and helped make the Communications Compass a growing resource for the school communications community.
Donovan Group is preparing topics for the 2026-27 school year to keep the conversation going and continue navigating today’s most important topics alongside other school communicators and storytellers.
